Mysterious Universe

I think that Aaron is right that disclosure will be too much for society particuarly the idea that there would be sentient beings we know nothing about and that is pretty scary to alot of people.

However it should be said that the idea of disclosure is a little like the second coming, people put alot of undue emphasis on something that could be just part of our imagination. (sorry christians)

My thoughts are, that governments may know of extraterrestrial craft and so forth, but the events happen so rarley and offer so little information its just not worth coming out to the public about.

The nations of our planet..hardly get along let along pass top secret information on to each other so even if something significant did happen, we may never know about because the government of that set country' just ignored it.

I don't think there is any real conspiracy going on, just not enough information to qualify something like disclosure.

Extremely entertaining on all accounts. I really dig the music you guys find to use on your podcasts. One that stuck out for me was the track by Film Noir World (on Per Capita Records)... awesome electronic material. Thank you for another cool show!!! I put their link below.

Aaron I couldn't agree more with your views on Disclosure - I think the boys in men In Black say it better than anyone - "humans are dumb panicky animals". As to the lady who was cured of leukemia by aliens - I have a similar story to tell of my own down the track down the track. Great show guys - keep up the great team work - the dialgue approach works reallly well !

Officially the BEST podcast in the Universe ... I downloaded a Twitter app to my iPhone just so I know exactly when the next episode is released --- my boss at work knows not to ask why I compulsively check my phone every five minutes on Wednesdays. Aaron i agree the people arent ready, but for completely different reasons.

My ridiculous views on disclosure and first contact:

People generally are apathetic sheep zombies who barely see past their own reflection on a daily basis. Writing from america, the most we can hope for here in times of alien contact and full disclosure is a few mediocre skits on saturday night live - perhaps obama shaking hands with a man in a grey costume, and maybe they give him some award for galactic peace...in anticipation of.... and thats about it. The deviation from normal life would be fleeting at best.

People will continue on living their vogue magazine, americas got talent, dunkin doughnuts and mcdonalds, tivoed lives without skipping a beat. Football and hockey will continue to be the bulk of the evening news, with recent military deaths in afganistan just a quick side show at the end to round off the weather report.

Short of killing 2976 people all in one catastrophic attack in one day, these aliens have little hope at getting our serious attention. Killing us a few dozen a day wont work either, the war in iraq has proven we are very good at sitting in a slowly boiling pot for many years on end and still know who made the playoffs this season.

For those of us who know and care about what is going on, i anticipate it will feel rather embarrassing. If anything, the cover up is a wise and charitable gesture orchestrated by them on our behalf. They know in total the general population is not prepared to grasp its importance, and an event of such magnitude, if greeted with complete apathy, could be the formula for our total annihilation. And rightly so.

gaah i just kept on listening to you guys discuss it and getting frusterated. full disclosure would change NOTHING guys. I'm sure maybe there is a sort of fear that it would yes, and there are reasons why the current powerbase does fear it. But if they have NOTHING to worry about. You could have a fleet of aliens hovering over our cities with free energy engine technology doing choreographed dance maneuvers for us all to stare at blankly and not one inch of change would be seen in the coal or fossil fuel industry. People will still gas up their cars and get their doughnuts same as it always will be.

Your ideas about how the whole powerbase is going to come down and everything will have to start over is sort of this typical optimistic dreaming that comes from people in the ufo community. You all really want this to matter and mean something, and i can understand why. But its wishfull thinking. Full disclosure changes nothing. Eventually it will happen. People will shrug. People will still race home to their 6 packs and 6 hours of tv at night.

Consider this. There are people watching maury povich right now. Willingly. Do I need to say more?

Your podcast is the best. SO glad you are back. A few of my rather opinionated rambling thoughts:

When I hear Stephen Bassett anymore, I hear "blah, blah, blah". In my opinion, like Steven Greer, he adds no value to those who do serious UFO research and investigations. They are hucksters, carnival barkers, snake skin oil sales men. They add nothing of value and have no true substance.

It is a shame of how the UFO research community is so divided. You have the sensible, scientific minded researches, and then you have the fruit cakes selling their next book. Truly sad indeed.

Interview Gene Steinberg & David Biedny some time. Don't always agree with them but I think they are on the right track.

I just recently found your podcast and would like to tell you that I think you do an extraordinary job. Production values are very high with excellent, clear audio, not always the case with podcasts, and the organization of your material is top notch and logical with the right touch of scepticism where it is warranted (Spanish naval UFO video). The show notes are far and away the most complete and useful I've seen.

Do I sound like a fan? Guess I am. Maybe one of your oldest fans at 74. Way to go, guys. Keep it up.

Regarding disclosure... that assumes that some government knows some secret. But do they? If for instance the US government knows the "truth", why hasn't that leaked out yet, and why don't the other governments know the truth? The answer is probably because the only disclosure that the US government could make is saying "yes, we have been seeing these things for years, and no, we have no idea what they are". That's about it.

Greer thinks we have the "alien tech"... come on now. If you dropped off a new Apple MacBook to some scientist 100 years ago, could they reverse engineer it? Doubtful. Now let up assume that these beings are more than 100 years ahead of us, and that is VERY likely. So let's bring that laptop back 1000 years and give it to the brightest minds. Could they even understand what it was? Very doubtful.

So we have no secret alien tech. If we did, we would be using it. That's the same with these so called secret weapons and aircraft that the US is supposed to have. Why haven't we used them in the recent wars? Are they saving them for Halloween? Some people think we had reverse engineered flying saucers back in the 50's. So why haven't we used them for warfare? That's what we would do with them.

That also takes us to the idea of getting this zero point energy from this alien tech. Sure, power your cars, and homes, and stuff. But does no one realize that having that unlimited free energy would also mean people could use it for weapons? Greer has some pipe dream that this would fix all our woes. Give people unlimited power, and all hell would break lose! Sad, but true!

We don't know who or what these beings are. Or what they want. They have been here too long and too often for this to be space mission to explore Earth and study humans. So they are likely NOT aliens from some other solar system, at least in the conventional sense that we like to think.

So what are they? I think that is beyond our understanding. This is MUCH stranger than it seems on the surface. It might be more about other dimensions or even time travel, but even that is too simplistic.

But forget the disclosure movement. All we could hope for is acknowledgment from some official source saying that these things (UFOs and entities) exist. The government isn't hiding anything, because they know about as much as the rest of us. Maybe they have recovered disks. That wont tell them much of anything. They can't understand it, and they still don't know where it's from or why it's here.

Forget Greer. Here's a nut case, and only harms legitimate study of the phenomenon. I'm sorry, but anyone who claims to have the answers and knows exactly how many alien species are coming here is full of it. He just wants to be the next messiah.

I have a few comments about this last podcast. Starting with disclosure (or the possibility of it) I'd have to agree with Aaron that in general people would panic. While many have speculated on what kind of panic (as in protests, fightings ect) there's one type of panic that you don't hear about. The stock market panic. If you introduce an alien species with advanced technology it won't matter if they actually plan of sharing their technology or not investors will panic. Why would you invest in a primitive car when the aliens can teach you flying vehicles. Now this isn't so much about the big-shots not wanting disclosure to happen but the panic of the ordinary person pulling their money out of the economy, and one thing we can learn form recent events is that a mass exodus of financial assets out of the system is bad for everyone.

You mentioned that synchronicity could be a sign of our destiny existing and us having no freewill. I read somewhere once (have to find it again) that the human brain works outside of normal time. In order to be able to successfully process all the information it work not only in the present but slightly in the past & future. So if you consider that it might be possible for it to work in the opposite direction and have people actually change the future. Therefore while you would have a “destiny” it would be one you unconsciously chose of your own freewill.

Can anyone say rapamycin = ground gua'uld ?

If you can find out where you read that brain operating out of time article i'd be super interested to check it out, its a cool concept. I don't buy into pre-destination at all, i think time is somthing we cant possibly comprehend, so while all our decisions may already exist in a timeline, they havent heppened yet, so we still control our actions, or something. yeah.

thanks to aaron for a couple quotes which perfectly exemplify the main reason i don't beleive most ufo/alien witnesses. im sure he didnt intend it to sound like this, but he calls MU listeners "enlightened" and people who dont think about aliens, "gnorant" as if being aware of the ufo phenom makes you somehow special and unique. this i think would be a big motivator to want to see somthing paranormal and "join the club" so to speak. which i think would make you see things that may not necesarily be there. Not critisizing aaron, i think hes doin a bang up job, just voicing an opinion. Keep up the good work guys.

Not quite the point I was trying to get across but that's a great comment. I am sure there are some (and I stress some) out there who want to jump on the UFO bandwagon for a little attention.
