I'm about to go off on a little tangent here but stay with me. Last night I couldn't sleep at all because I had just seen a commercial for The Fourth Kind and for some reason it particularly creeped me out that night and I kept thinking I was gonna roll over to face the window and see this giant black eyed owl staring at me. Then this morning I was thinking about how a lot of people who claim to have been abducted remember seeing weird animals just kinda hanging out with big alien like eyes. Again, I don't know why I've been particularly fixated on this but that's been the case.

So I'm at work and the engineer that I work with happens to be out today so it's just poor little me alone in my office building. I was right in the middle of listening to this episode and somethig was mentioned about The Fourth Kind and I thought it was kind of ironic (maybe a little bit of synchronicity!) that I was just thinking pretty heavily about the topic. Anyway, this guy came in to look at some office space and I took him to the back part of the building where I literally never go. All of the unoccupied office doors are kept shut. So I opened the doors, showed him around, and he left. After I saw him out, I went back to the back of the building to shut the doors and in one of the offices, for some reason my eyes were drawn to the corner as I was shutting the door… and there is this GIANT lizard sitting there, staring at me. I was in a little bit of shock I think so I kind of went “Oh.” and closed the door but as I walked back to my desk I started to panic, not really because I thought it was an ET or anything but there's this giant freakin lizard sitting in a back office probably plotting my death.

And the thing is, I SWEAR it was not there when I showed the guy the office. He probably would have seen it! Right? Surely. I don't really remember anything weird about it except that, you know, I was terrified out of my mind. And we're right in the middle of the suburbs. It's not like we're in the middle of the woods and we get these things around here all the time. Plus it was HUGE so I don't think it could have fit through a crack or anything…

So anyway I thought it was just an interesting story, if not a little off topic. The lizard is still presumably in the office as I sit here up front and type this. I forced my husband to take off of work and drive up here to check it out so we'll see. I have my phone with me so if I get abducted I'll make sure to post some TwitPics of it! ;P

    PS
    Great show! :)

Aww, that's sad that you think that! I think it's literally the best part! I wouldn't mind a whole talk show called “The Adventures of Ben and Aaron”!

Your ancient civilization segment echoed alot of the lloyd pye's origin/intervention theories. Especially where it comes into the mining gold for aliens business. I'm surprised you didnt bring it up. Lloyds the guy with the star child skull.

Didnt you already do that in a show in the first season?

Perhaps all religions and their inspirations are the result of our first relationship with these aliens in the very beginning, establishing a master slave situation that, once the aliens left with their gold, we were left with some sort of gap to fill, so we retold the stories and legends over and over and remember our masters in myth and religion to come.

I think Brian's comment was a fair one, was respectful and appropriately caveat-ed. Seems like everyone “circles the wagons” if, God forbid, a comment is made about the show that is less than oozing with adulation. Lighten up people. Ben and Aaron do a great job, but if they can't take a little constructive criticism, maybe they're in the wrong biz. Personally, I don't need to hear about how the sausage is made. The show always sounds great! I couldn't tell any difference between this week and the last show. It's MP3, not DVD HD! :)

That's a bit hypocritical. I didn't criticise him, but simply stated that I disagreed and provided reasoning.
Both points are completely fair and worthy of being posted. ;)

    Ben and Aaron.

I'm so glad that MU has returned. The topics are wonderful and very “Fascinating”, It makes my 140 mile daily commute to work enjoyable. Plus the music chosen for each episode is great.

I recommend this podcast to all my friends and family and even to my co-workers who are in the medical field and consider themselves skeptics. Some have, let's say ….have become interested in the paranormal.

Keep the wonderful work…and Kudos to Aaron for joining the MU line up.
And Ben again…the quality is superb. Keep it up.

Good luck with the new studio.

(And no…I have not seen any mysterious splitting snakes on the road, lol)

alright, i was really on board with you guys until this episode!
not to say i'm completely turned off or anything, i'll definitely keep listening but the fact that you guys hadn't seen the fourth kind and took one persons review and kind of made it your own opinion really pissed me off. see it and try not to get creeped out. even if it's a hoax, i would say good job you got me. that's the point of a movie! to make a scenario feel as real as possible. if it is a hoax, they just went really hardcore on saying it was real…making a good movie is not insulting my intelligence, thank you. it's doing a good job.
but, right after going off on the fourth kind, you take some random guys report of an ALIEN IN A HUNTING CAP touching him and are all creeped out by it and treat it like it really happened. now maybe that's because the fourth kind was a movie and really put it out there and this was just some small story but it seemed ridiculous to me.
also. i love how you say “stay with us stay with us” when you start to get on Sumerian creation stories but you assume no one would tune out after hearing about an alien in a tutu. there are some of us out here that accept the fact that we were created by life from another planet. and i'm glad whichever one of you knew EXACTLY how hominids made the change to homo sapiens and scoffed at Sumerian tales. you really think they were just writing stories and knew what DNA looked like? hmmmmm.
sorry to be negative. up till now, i've really liked it. i just had some problems this time with equally strange things sometimes being laughed at and sometimes being taken too seriously.
keep it up. disclosure is coming.

Just some food for thought on the sasquatch in New york.

Here are some other crazy fringe theorys that came to mind

-Worm hole…. a worm hole opens up ancient africa and ancient relative wanders through comes out in central park and then zip…back to his own time

-Alien abduction from another time, aliens speeding over time and space abduct an ancient relative then appear again in another time / dimention and dropping our friend off in central park.

(incidently this could be a good explanation for all sasquaches)

-Planet of the apes conference, that day across the road from central park a planet of the apes conference for fans was taking place, during lunch a youn fan dressed as an ape goes for a walk in the park..

Hey you guys were talking about Obama releasing information about aliens on the 27th. Well did you know that he is actually having a television special to announce what we are going to do about Iraq and Afghanistan on Tuesdeay Dec 1. Is that close enough to the 27th?
