We also look at Michio Kaku’s and Dan Aykroyd’s comments on the recent Larry King special, the Noah’s Ark discovery hoax, and Aaron spins some recently acquired tall tales of residual energy and the military’s interest in the phenomena.

My one question per aliens landing here: whose to say our behavior is universally psychotic? To a truly vicious species, think Aliens or Klingons, they may regard us as not savage ENOUGH. Though we typically look at the achievement of space travel as predicated by getting past our petty conflicts, there is a dark but possible result that we can see from the Nazis: a unified but deeply flawed segment of a race could do a lot with enough power. Just because our tyrants continually fail doesn't mean they'll never succeed anywhere. Myself, I hope they are peaceful!

Why were the Chinese out looking for Noah's ark? Easy — Christianity has been in China for over 1300 years, but really blew up more recently. In 2004 the BBC reported between 15-20 million Catholics in China, and the Protestant numbers are close to that. It's officially non-religious, but as it opens its borders up, they can't really keep proselytizers down without mucking up their public image. I've had a lot of Asian students from China, Korea and Taiwan, and at least in my case, they're predominately Christian, often of the fundamentalist stripe where they felt the need to tell others about their faith.

The VA of Liberty University stands for Virginia (where I teach — Virginia, not at Liberty University). Liberty isn't exactly a bastion of enlightened thought; it's a fundamentalist Christian university started by televangelist Jerry Falwell, the guy who blamed 9/11 on pagans, feminists, and gay people. Last year they revoked the university's recognition of the College Democrats because they claimed the Democratic party was inconsistent with the university's stated Christian mission. Because of that, their tax-exempt status went under federal review — they're not allowed to discriminate if they want that status. I believe Liberty eventually decided to drop the “no Democrats allowed” idea. Some members of their ranks were recently at my university harassing people about Jesus at the front doors of the library — in front of the science and engineering library, no less.

Michio Kaku has some good points, but I also think he makes some pretty big jumps. For example, I've heard him saying that the aliens will be descended from predators .

Now thats far too confident an assertion.

The aliens may not even be from our dimension but they're descended from predators? I'm curious to know just how he came to that conclusion .

Kaku has also stated that reporting a confirmed radio signal from aliens could set off a panic. And UFO's ET'S ect should be kept top secrect .

Don't speak for me Mr Kaku. I could handle the truth about non terrestrial life .

Everything hinges on the matter of evidence. On so important a question of say UFOs, the evidence must be airtight. The more we want it to be true, the more careful we have to be .

I have a few ideas to throw out there

UFOs could actually be demons from Hell, trying hard to steal your soul from you by making you believe they are not incorporeal minions of Satan, but real, physical objects .

Maybe there our alien friends , pure of heart . And when they have reached the limits of what rectal probing can teach them they will leave our planet .

If your designers and culture creators are promoting someone like Michio Kaku always be wary of what that person is pushing .

Ben, it's called Cowboy State Paranormal because it is headquartered in the US state of Wyoming, known as “The Cowboy State”.

Hey guys, please don't ever put your photos on the website, because in my mind you look like Flight of the Conchords. Keep up the good work.

you guys got me totally hooked… i gotta admit I am a little sceptical, now that a partner and friend of yourselves, then actually one of you has an experience that is not usual to everday life. (i was a lil unsure when u had seen a ghost). But all that is bye the bye, whether or not being part of your programme has made you more open to or susseptable to paranormal activities or happenings or whether you are just brilliant at relaying stories It makes no difference to me or i PRESUME many of your thousands of avid followers… The point is your show is flipping brilliant (& i haven't even subscribed to plus episodes yet.) I just love it….. So informed So funny So ….. just bloody brilliant… I have written to pass on my compliments previously (and happily got a reply) But i am afraid its just not enough, i feel i MUST AGAIN compliment yourselves on a FANTASTIC show. I am currently watching (and capturing from my old VHS copy) OVERLORDS OF THE UFO. I think pretty much the entire thing is on YouTube. If you haven't see it, well, I gotta say, it's a classic mid-70s documentary style flick citing evidence of UFOs over and over again. The music will make you pine for X-Files music. :) It's pretty terrible. The narrator is very bizarre, and he often doubles as a “character” in some of the… I don't know what they are. Not reconstructions or even portrayals of events, but like these weird speculations.

Regarding flickering streetlights/people who destroy electronics: I can't wear a watch for more than six months without the batteries dying. I thought I just had bad luck, until I mentioned it to my brother and he said he had the same problem. His theory is that our skin carries a charge that kills the batteries. He wears a kinetic watch to solve the problem; I'm just always late.
