In the United Kingdom, UFO disclosure seems to be an ongoing hobby the Ministry of Defense has undertaken. Spanning regular periodic intervals, large quantities of formerly classified government data pertaining to UFOs are released to the public, and in every case, at least some new kernel of interest, if not several, make their way to public attention after sustaining what usually amounts to decades of silence.
Today marked one such occasion for release, and as many a UFO-buff had hoped, there was certainly something of interest to be had.
It appears that allegations were made that Britain’s World War II Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill, upon learning of an encounter an RAF pilot had with a “Foo Fighter,” issued an order of silence on the matter due to its shocking nature. Alleged to have taken place during a meeting with then-general Dwight Eisenhower toward the end of the war, Churchill had believed that irreversible damages incurred from public knowledge of the incident might lead to mass hysteria, or perhaps ever the collapse of the Christian faith.
These allegations, though pertaining to WW II, were actually made by the alleged grandson of the RAF pilot, in a letter written to the MOD a little more than a decade ago. The witness, now said to work as a physicist, has become a person of interest to the English news source The Telegraph, which featured a brief statement in their online edition earlier today prompting readers to disclose the identity of the physicist. If located, it is hoped the individual may be able to provide additional commentary on the allegations pertaining to Churchill.
The UFO files are available for download and perusal at the website of the British National Archives, and can be viewed by following the link below:
In addition to this revelation, it is understood that Churchill, like many in his day, held at least some interest in the matter of UFOs, and whether they might present a security threat during wartime. If the identity of the mysterious physicist should end up being revealed, perhaps a new chapter in this great mystery will be opened, shedding new light on the history of UFOs over Europe, and how they were dealt with under Churchill’s ever-watchful (and frighteningly stern) gaze.
