Podcast Host – Mysterious Universe

Type: Full Time
Start Date: Late 2025
Compensation: $65k - $85k USD (depending on experience).

About the Role 

We’re seeking a dynamic, curious, and technically skilled host to join the team at Mysterious Universe. This is not just a voice-behind-the-mic job; it’s a chance to help shape the tone, style, and depth of a show loved by listeners around the world.

You’ll co-host weekly episodes, research and present topics with insight and flair, and ideally bring production skills that help polish the final product. Whether you're a podcasting pro or a hidden talent waiting to be discovered, if you live and breathe high-strangeness, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities 

• Co-host two weekly episodes with energy, clarity, and personality
• Research and write discussion points or story outlines
• Present stories clearly and confidently—solo or collaboratively
• Engage with paranormal, fringe science, and esoteric topics with an open but critical mind
• Assist with or manage post-production tasks (editing, clean-up, mixing, publishing) if qualified
• Optionally support visual tasks (thumbnails, social assets, basic design) if skilled

Ideal Skills & Experience

• Confident, engaging speaking voice with a natural delivery
• Strong storytelling and research ability
• Experience hosting or producing a podcast (or other audio format)
• Familiarity with podcast editing tools (e.g. Adobe Audition, Reaper, Audacity, iZotope RX)
• Bonus: Video editing (Premiere Pro, Resolve), Photoshop, OBS, Canva
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines reliably
