    Hey guys,
I love the show and have been listening since season one. I would like to make a comment about Aaron's comment in episode 315. Aaron stated that he keeps a bat under his bed in case a praying mantis looking creature comes out of his cabinets, and Ben said that a bat would be useless against a civilization that can travel through space. I would like to point out to you, Ben, that I don't care how fast your space ship is, a well place bat upside the head is going to hurt. A bat under the bed is also safer than a gun, especially if you have children. So I'll be taking a page from Aaron's book and start keeping a bat under my bed too.
Thanks a lot for all the great shows,

Ah, once again one of those flag words for me came up for me again in today's episode. Last week I wondered why “craft” always gets tossed around in UFO sightings. This week the word “being” (as a noun) caught my ear as another one that makes me wonder why that gets used so frequently in reporting of supernatural events by witnesses of those events. “Creature” gets used a lot too, but I think I'm more forgiving of that since it generally is used to describe cryptozoological encounters and in some ways it's the best word for it. I think “creature” is a better word than “being” for alien encounters as well, but people really like to given the aliens the benefit of the doubt regarding their place in the universe's evolutionary scale and so they get “being” instead of “creature” most of the time. Whereas cryptids are almost always tagged with “creature” since the general perception is that they fall below humans on the human self-referential scale of intelligence, etc.

I can't say I “enjoyed” the exception to that story of the bigfoot “witness” from a couple of weeks ago (that's all too well laid out as a viral marketing hook to take seriously) but I DID like that hook in the story that the Bigfoot wasn't just a lumbering ape man thing but an intelligent and communicative creature.

What I would love to hear is for you guys to dig up some stories of intelligent, communicative creatures that someone also just happened to catch wandering around with someone's dead dog or butchered cow. (Again, back to wondering exactly what those aliens are doing with those cows. I'm still with Weedmaster P on this on.)

Where are the reports like this? “I think I caught a chupacapra in my backyard about to kill my dog. At first I thought it was a person and I yelled and asked just what it thought it was doing. It apologized from the shadows and said it was hungry and got confused about exactly what kinds of things people didn't get upset about going missing (babbling that rabbits, cows, sheep and goats tended to be his favorites but he get confused about them which might have explained why he was picking up dogs). It wandered out of the shadows and into my back porch light and I could see it wasn't a person at all but a short creature with protruding fangs and goat like horns. I was initially terrified until it spoke yet again in perfect English and asked if I had any tea bags it could borrow. I said yes. It quickly spoke and made it very clear that he needed only Earl Gray tea as he had a large stash of English Breakfast teas given to him by an old lady with several cats that he chats with. It also gave me a wink and nod about the cats saying 'Cats are wonderful eating and some people that collect cats in big groups never miss one or two.' I was a little startled by this as it DID make me a little suspicious about its earlier claims of confusing dogs with other animals. Admittedly, I was a little nervous about standing around in the yard at 10 PM at night chatting with a large fanged creature asking me if I had any Earl Gray tea. I took my dog inside and asked the creature to wait outside. It was very deferring and apologetic about my dog. I pushed the dog through the door, ran to the kitchen and grabbed the box of Earl Gray tea, and ran to the back door. The creature was still standing there, simply looking around. I handed it the tea and again and was very deferential and very thankful and again apologized about my dog. It said that Earl Gray was its favorite tea, mumbled something about not knowing how people drink coffee, nodded its head as if it were tipping a hat to me and then disappeared into the darkness. I heard it shuffle off into the wooded area behind my house. I have not seen it since, but I did find a Thank You note on my back porch a few days later with a scrawled “Thank you for the wonderful tea.” on it. I have not seen it since, but once a month in the evening I leave a box of Earl Gray tea on the back porch and it always is gone the next morning.”

I would love to hear you guys talk about this: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn18723-tim…

Time-Space Synathesia. It's this type of thing that makes me NOT roll my eyes when people talk about people having different perceptions and tapping into different modes of thinking. It might actually be a human ability to use thinking/thought/conscience to adapt perceptions physiologically. Imagine if you you visually perceived time and space after ingesting psychedelic drugs or were fasting or meditating for long periods of time as methods of altering your brain's physiology. You would almost certainly feel like it was a form of enlightenment and revelation. And the ability to perceive time and space visually is clearly there in the brain as it seems to be natural for some people. Even negative events can alter perceptions of the physical world. I suffered through some depression early in my life and I vividly recall the world around my being an altered perception of what I had previously experienced. Altered perceptions might very well explain a lot of people's unexplainable experiences even if they were NOT experiencing anything different externally simply experiencing their day to day experiences via different physical routing in their brains.

Just want to say thank you for the mention of one of my posts – the one about the builder having to work around a stone because locals said fairies lived under it. I hope folk who have followed the link have also enjoyed finding out about my film 'Standing with Stones' – no it's not about fairies and stones but about all the megalithic site of the UK & Ireland – standing stones stone circles, etc. They may or may not have fairies living under them – couldn't say – but if you've more than a passing interest in things megalithic, check it out at http://standingstones.tv

    Thanks

The horse was ingesting colloidal silver. I can’t explain the loss of color but it’s a solid theory.
