Episode 404 – Mysterious Universe

Well well well, this week we learn a valuable lesson. Don’t drive on deserted Australian highways at night.

We also delve into new research from Richard Sauder that suggests hidden underground and underwater bases are much more of a reality than we think. Louis Proud drops by with a self-interview regarding his Old Hag experiences and Plus+ members learn the disturbing tale of the Russian Sleep Experiment.

Read on for show notes, books, and music.

The Bongo story was terrifying! The things he told weren't that creepy but the distress the recounting caused him made it feel real and horrendous.

Wow. That was a horrific conclusion with the sleep experiment! I hope that didn't really happen.
Was listening to the show while on my run. I couldn't wait to get back to the house, read the ending…

Oh man. That story Bongo told was chilling. Great episode guys.

Poor Bongo. It almost sounded like his teeth were chattering near the end, as if he were going into shock at just retelling his story. I can't imagine the depth of the fear he must have been feeling.

Maybe I'm just way too used to weird stuff, because I was totally expecting to be freaked the f out from the Russian Sleep Experiment story. But it was just ok. I mean, it was kinda graphic, but not in an overly-gross kinda way. It was pretty straight forward.

The end was very Lovecraftian – and Lovecraft's endings usually dissapoint me, too. LOL!

But poor Bongo!! I hope he's living comfortably and in relative peace somewhere, poor chap.
