I’ve lived all my life in California in l.a. And the Bay area up north and I’ve never heard of booming sounds phenomena, California has earthquakes every day from the lowest points and even the less common 5 or 6

Just thought I’d chime in with some info on satellite launch locations. If you launch a satellite from near the equator, it benefits from the Earth’s rotation and so it takes less energy to reach a geostationary orbit. This is why the European Union uses French Guiana as its launch site, and why the U.S.A. launches from Florida. If you are launching for polar orbits though, it doesn’t matter where your launch pad is. As far as I know, there is no benefit from launching from the northern hemisphere vs. the southern hemisphere.

With all the violence perpetrated on planet earth down through the history of man there must have been billions of super moons, one every ten minutes.

I’ve got a proposal for mining astroids – mine the helium first and use it to bring other minerals slowly down to earth. (I know, I know sounds like a bad B sci fi movie.) I’d love to know what the proposals are for bringing loads of heavy materials back down to earth.

I’d also like to know What army is gonna stop people from mining a passing astroid especially since there’s few countries on earth that have space flight capabilities.

Hey guys, great show.

The law around the ownership of space is related to the possible militarization of space. If the soviets owned the moon, they could place weapons on it. (who knows if that was feasable)

Also, Regarding asteroid mining, only 2 of the current targeted asteroids (200), have materials. They are looking at getting the hydrogen from the water (ice) that makes up the asteroids. They intend on doing this by essentially wrapping the asteroid in a solar superheater and create steam thus capturing hydrogen.

Finally, stop with your love affair of private space flight. Profit will always be the motive for this industry. NASA has had no such requirements.

Yeah? Well NASA dips into the incredible amount of profits our government makes off taxing the hell out of the people of this country! And the only advertising we get are the lies and bullshit the so called lawmakers perpetrate on TV for months before an election. And that’s tax free profit!

Frankly I love what NASA has done so far, but it’s time for free thinkers and entrepreneurs to get into the act and bring the costs down so the adventures will be more adventurous and we’ll finally reach beyond the gravitational pull of the brass knuckles of government.

So keep loving private space flight guys.
