I’m with you Ben. PLEASE all writers out there get an imagination!!! No more Zombies, Vampires or Werewolf stories! They’ve been done to death (no pun intended)!

And for me no more time travel stories either, especially where you bide by the rules there of.  And no more Science fiction or fantasy stories with empires in them with warring factions. Gees how many of these do we have??? Aren’t we done with that by now?

These subjects are all cop-outs for real works of the imagination. I think writers pick a subject, hook it up to a writing program and the program plugs in all the usual crap! Please come up with something NEW!!!

I grew up in Delavan WI and would read Linda’s articles in the local paper. It is good to see Linda making it onto Mysterious Universe. Around the time of the Bray road sightings I dated a girl who lived a bit too close for comfort to the area of the initial Bray road beast sightings. She always was good with animals. Anyway keep up the AWESOME podcast guys!

I think Linda mentioned the mounds in Wisconsin and how these sightings tend to occur around them. Something I don’t think mentioned is that Wisconsin has a magnitude more mounds than any other U.S. state. There are some massive mounds in Ohio and elsewhere that get some attention, but no state comes close to how many Wisconsin has.

Strange thing is, the Native American tribes there claim they didn’t build them; they say they were there when their ancestors arrived, and the strange creatures have always been somehow connected to them.

(By the way, you guys asked why Wisconsin was called the Badger State. [Cue spaghetti western voice] Badgers? We don’t have no stinking badgers! Or not many. “Badger” was a nickname for miners in the north woods who dug burroughs into the mountainsides to spend the winter. I only ever saw badgers in the zoo.)

It’s always strange to me to hear the Beast of Bray Road conversations. I lived in Elkhorn for 5 years, not far from Bray Road and have been on there many many times. I’ve never seen anything on there. But some of the people I went to high school would tell stories about missing dogs, a kid, and spooky things. I have my doubts, I just hope I’m right because i don’t want to run into anything out on that road. Oh I my friend and I got stuck in the ditch on the road a few years ago thanks to snow. Still glad he didn’t show up.
