Yes!  Season 6 has begun.  :)

I totally believe in the possibility that “sea monsters” exist.  We have been discovering new species all the time.
Also, that Sheep Squatch…wow.  I’m going with local legend on this one.  It just seems a bit too weird.

Another great show, guys!  Keep up the great work!

Why do you feel that “artist’s rendition” together with the story should be any more convincing than the personal narrative by itself? Bringing more emotion to the discourse it will, certainly, but emotive content is not considered evidence.

Another excellent show. When Ben posed the issue of the paranormal (mainly UFOs) seemingly able to instantly make our tech nonfunctional made me immediately think that the Biblical and accompanying writings from that area often referred to “the Prince of the power of the air.” Makes one wonder…

I’ve never understood the focus on OWLS as some kind of messenger or omen. According to ornithologists these birds aren’t very intelligent. They’re kind of like the super models of the bird world, nice to look at but not much else going on.

I wonder about the “BOX” and the problems it brings to the table. Certain people are more susceptible to hypnosis than others, so I wonder if those that are most affected by the box are more vulnerable to these strange events than others. Considering the large audience MU must have by now and the small number of reports of anything happening after listening to episode 524 leads me to wonder.

PS: I’ve been a long time audible.com listener also and I want to give an extreme thumbs up to one of your countrymen Max Barry who wrote Jennifer Government. A satire about a spreading total free market, but a kind of warning of where things could go if we in the free world don’t pay attention. Thanks for holding up the mirror, Max.

Crikey! You guys don’t rest much; I was resigned to waiting a couple of months before this season started. Good work.

Great episode! Fascinating item about undiscovered creatures in the oceans’ depths. Reminds me of the “Bloop” and the “Slow Down” - don’t know if you’ve heard of them. Here’s the Wiki entry:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop
and here’s a good website devoted to the Bloop:

Not tru 8×10 monk. Birds are very intelligent. African parrots can have large vocabularies of hundreds of words and IQ’s in the 80′s. That’s higher than some people.

  • 8×10 Monk

The birds I was talking about specifically were owls, not the whole bird population. You simply read my blog wrong, FS13. Yes I’d say that parrots could probably run Congress at a better pace of intelligence .. but then again, like Congress they too get caught fooling around.

I’ve really been enjoying your guys’ show – it’s been getting me through the slow times at work. I love that you guys have such a good sense of humour, and aren’t extremists of any sort, where you look at the different possibilities.

Also, I just have to say – Ben the way you recite these stories is delivered so well…you have the perfect voice for this kind of thing. Has anyone ever told you that?

    “Japanese cougar sighting” Hilarious Ben!

In reference to the mountian experience… this is what is referred to in eastern thought as a bohisatva (sp?) experience. looseley this is the choice of realizing the all and ascending into nirvana or staying behind to interface with others. In reference to the words used.. these words were used in both scifi and the persons experience because they are part of the universal lexicon dealing with experiences such as these, as noone has ever written a book from beyond the grave.
